About

Taiwan Lee Rubber was established in 1986 on the manufacture of all rubber seal for industrial products and thermoplastic vulcanized (Leeprene TPE) for all rubber’s products. Quality assurance was approved in 1999 by ISO9002 system, and ISO9001 in 2002. The quality policy “All employees participation and technique innovation” keeps us to supply our worldwide customers best quality and most competitive price.

Leprene Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPV)
Leprene is a specially designed thermoplastic vulcanizate from American AES’s EDPM rubber concentrate, which performs like cured EPDM rubber, but processes with the ease and speed of thermoplastic olefins. These thermoplastic vulcanizates have mechanical and recovery properties comparable to most vulcanized elastomers and superior to most thermoplastic elastomers.
Characteristics of Leeprene Thermoplastic Rubber

  • Performs, looks and feels similar to vulcanized rubber.
  • Exhibits excellent heat resistance.
  • Provides an operating range from -65℃ To 135℃
  • Is ready to use when received without any modifications.
  • Can be processed on standard thermoplastic equipment with the same processing economy as conventional thermoplastics
  • Can be recycled several times without loss of properties.
  • Can be recycled several times without loss of properties.
  • Highly cross-linked systems in hardness grades from 30A to 45D.
  • Leeprene can be tailored to meet specific end use application requirements.

Applications
Leeprene offers a wide range of performance characteristics which permits its use in a wide range of applications including:
Automotive
Suspension boot GRC(glass railway channel) Steering system Air duct Floor covers, Cable connectors, Shock mounts.
Industrial
Construction Electrical Fluid delivery Medical Appliance
Consumer
Food and package Home and garden Electronic Personal care Sport and leisure Stationery
Processing of Leeprene
Leeprene thermoplastic vulcanizates can be processed at conditions similar to those for general plastics using conventional thermoplastic equipment.
A typical temperature profile is 170℃ at the feed zone to 230℃ at the nozzle.High injection velocity (viscosity) may cause phase separation and splash marks.
Extrusion of wet material may be hazardous: therefore, drying is recommended. Leeprene is a blend of rubber and polyolefin. Should avoiding to keep with PVC and fire. Is incompatible with acetal and PVC.
Even though desirable, pre-drying is not always necessary. If Leeprene is stored under high humidity conditions, pre-drying of the pellets for one to four hours at 80℃ is recommended.
General purpose screw with a compression ratio of 2.5 to 3.0 is recommended.
The low viscosity at high shear rates makes Leeprene suitable for injection molding applications using reciprocating injection molding machines of 25 and higher ton clamp capacity
